Essential oils for healing

Posted on 01-0301-17 by admin

Yes, there sure are healing benefits with essential oils. Inside my back workroom, I have 100’s of bottles of essential oils and carrier oils. Plus all the other bottles of fragrance oils, soap-making oils, and packages of clays, salts, waxes, and on and on. Once you get started with making natural products, you won’t want to stop. The fact is, I’ve been treating my headaches for years with essential oils – because yes, they really do work.

Essential Oils are natural

I have created synergistic blends for specific purposes. I have not added the exact amount of each essential oil as you will want to experiment with blending yourself. Generally, I used equal amounts of each essential oil. All of these blends would be created and then added to a carrier oil such as coconut or sweet almond.

Recipes for the healing benefits with essential oils:

Anti-Cellulite:
Rosemary, patchouli, rose geranium, grapefruit, juniper

Ascension:
Frankincense, myrrh, sandalwood, rose

Bedtime:
lavender, juniper, lemon balm, ylang ylang, patchouli, rose geranium, clary sage

Perhaps: (love potion, lol)
rose, sandalwood, black pepper, ylang-ylang, neroli, jasmine, patchouli, rosewood, clary sage

Equipose: (hormone balancing)
grapefruit, bergamot, rose geranium, patchouli

Eudaemonic: (appetite suppressant)
lemon, orange, bergamot, lavender, cypress, juniper berry, basil, clary sage, rose geranium, ylang ylang

Headache:
basil, clary sage, lemongrass, rose geranium, peppermint, lavender, thyme, eucalyptus

Phases: (menopause symptoms)
lavender, clary sage, rose geranium, rosemary, bergamot

Remember:
lemon, rosemary, basil, clove, cinnamon, peppermint.

Unwind:
rosewood, bergamot, juniper, grapefruit, ylang-ylang, rose geranium, lemongrass, benzoin, clary sage, lavender, patchouli

Wake up!:
lime, peppermint, orange, grapefruit, bergamot, cajeput, rosemary, eucalyptus, patchouli, juniper.

Generally, the carrier oil choice for most therapeutic essential oils blends is jojoba. This is a skin-friendly, hypo-allergenic, quickly absorbing oil.  It is one of the oils I use undiluted on my face.  You could also use any of these blends in a therapeutic bath salt, recipes, and more info are here.

Essential oils do need to be stored in glass bottles and not plastic. Essential oils can degrade plastic and cause an unfriendly smell to your product, more here.
