Tea Tree Soap Recipe

Posted on 12-2812-30 by Tes

Make your own medicinal products such as this Tea Tree soap recipe. I have added Eucalyptus essential oil to mellow out the sharpness of the Tea Tree or add some earthy warming components. This was a great soap for skin conditions and especially for bug-bitten skin. The tea tree would help to cleanse the bit areas and speed up the healing.  I also make a plain Tea Tree Soap.

Tea Tree soap recipe, with Eucalyptus:

  • Basic #2 recipe: (other soap base recipes here)

    51.2 oz Olive/Canola blended oils
    6.2 oz Coconut oil
    6.2 oz Palm oil
    23.4 oz water
    8.6 oz lye crystals

  • for this scented bar, add:
  • 1.5 T of Tea Tree essential oil
  • 1.5 T of Eucalyptus essential oil
  • colorant:
  • 1/4 tsp of hydrated green oxide, mix in 1 cup of base first then add back to pot

The image below shows how I used to make my Tea Tree and Eucalyptus soap. This was in the top 10 – 15 best-selling bars at the store.

Eucalyptus essential oil is effective for treating respiratory conditions such as asthma, bronchitis, pneumonia, COPD, and sometimes helpful with tuberculosis. The healing properties are obtained by inhaling and diffusing the oil, which dilates the blood vessels and allows for more oxygen.  Also works well to cleanse surfaces and the air and promotes healthy teeth and gums when used in a mouthwash.

Tea Tree is often added to other essential oils as well, including peppermint and lavender. When making new scent blends, I would hold both bottles up to my nose and smell. Some oils can be very strong and not allow for an accurate scent reading, so I would take, for example, 2 drops of tea tree and 2 drops of peppermint, into a small bowl, mix the oils, then you’ll get a more balanced scent.

Here are numerous ways that Tea Tree essential oil can improve your home and life, at healthline.com
